Overview of 2A12 Aerospace hard aluminum-aluminum-copper alloy
2A12 aluminum alloy belongs to Al-Cu-Mg series aluminum alloy, main characteristics and application scope: This is a kind of high strength hard aluminum, can be strengthened by heat treatment, the plasticity is medium in the state of quenching and just quenching, spot welding is good, there is a tendency to form intercrystalline cracks when using gas welding, the alloy in quenching and cold hardening its machinability is good, after annealing machinability is low: Corrosion resistance is not high, often use anodic oxidation treatment and coating method or surface coated with aluminum layer to improve its corrosion resistance.

Heat treatment process
1. Annealing temperature: 413℃.
2. Solution temperature: 493℃.
3. Aging temperature :T6, T8 State: 8-16h at 191℃ temperature.
